The Lagging Team ("the show," "we") runs this website to tell you about the podcast and to let you join our email list. This page explains what we collect and what we do with it, in plain language.

What we collect

If you sign up for the email list, we collect the first name and email address you give us. That's it. The signup form also uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots, which may process technical information (like your IP address) under Cloudflare's privacy policy.

What we do with it

We use your email address to send you updates about the show — new episodes, the occasional announcement. Signing up is double opt-in: nothing is sent to you until you confirm your address by clicking the link in the confirmation email. We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it with anyone for their marketing.

Who processes it

Email addresses are stored and emails are sent through Resend, and signup records are held in our own database. These providers process your information only to deliver our emails.

Leaving the list

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Click it and you're out — unsubscribing always wins, immediately, over anything else on file. You can also email us at hello@thelaggingteam.com and we'll remove you.

Listening elsewhere

The show is distributed on platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, and YouTube. When you listen there, those platforms' own privacy policies apply — we only see the aggregate statistics they provide to podcasters.
